Specimen
0.5 mL serum, 1.0 mL EDTA whole blood and 6.0 mL urine.
Test Description
Pre‑op screen with SDMA, CBC, T4, and UA.
A minimum database (smaller chemistry profile with SDMA (CSA040), a Complete Blood Count (CBC), Urinalysis (UA)), and a Total T4.
Interferences: T4 evaluation can be affected in a hemolyzed or moderately lipemic sample. Lipemia can falsely decrease T4 results. Lipemia can falsely elevate TSH results.
