Diagnostics

Core Diagnostics

Quality, cutting-edge reference laboratory technology provides results you can feel confident in, with fast turnarounds and world-class support for the testing you use every day.

Chemistry / Biochemistry

A comprehensive portfolio of reference laboratory chemistry tests and panels for routine wellness and specialty diagnostics — monitoring kidney, liver, and organ function.

Cytology

Cytological evaluation of fluid, tissue aspirates, impressions, or scrapings using the expertise of boarded cytopathologists facilitates diagnosis, prognosis, and guidance for further testing and treatment.

Drug Monitoring

Drug monitoring based on state-of-the-art technology aids with interpretation of the clinical picture and dose adjustments to medications. Drug monitoring is available for a variety of therapies, including digoxin, potassium bromide, phenobarbital, zonisamide, keppra, cyclosporine levels, and zinc.

Endocrinology

Antech provides a broad range of endocrine tests using validated immunoassay technologies and methods including radioimmunoassay, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and chemiluminescent immunoassay. Stringent quality assurance programs ensure accurate, reliable, and repeatable results.

Hematology

Highly skilled technologists and clinical pathologists leverage world-class technology such as Cellavision to bring you accurate and comprehensive CBC and hematology results you can feel confident in.

Histology

Antech offers histological evaluation by board-certified pathologists skilled in the diagnosis of diseases from different species. Specially trained pathologists exist in the areas of dermatology and hepatology to discuss an individually tailored treatment plan with a histopathological diagnosis. Additional testing can be performed on submitted tissue, including immunohistochemistry, in-situ hybridization, and PCR testing.

Microbiology

Antech provides high-quality, detailed, and complete bacteriology diagnostic services, including aerobic and anaerobic bacterial culture and sensitivity testing, and specific bacterial cultures (acid-fast bacilli, salmonella, Yersinia, campylobacter), and fastidious organisms (mycoplasma, ureaplasma, and tritrichomonas).

Parasitology

Antech offers accurate, timely, and cost-efficient evaluation of samples to diagnose parasitic infections in small and large animals via fecal centrifugation, Giardia Ag ELISA assessment, Baermann evaluation, and parasite identification.

Serology

Quality control and accurate, reproducible results are our standard. We conduct a variety of chemistry panels for both mammalian and non-mammalian species using a fully automated state-of-the-art chemistry analyzer. Artificial intelligence software (LTP) asesses results to determine which samples require further review and evaluation. Serological testing is available for endocrinology (cortisol, progesterone, LH, AMH, etc.) and immunology (acetylcholinesterase AB testing, masticatory myositis, titer assessment, protein electrophoresis, and ANA).

Toxicology

Toxicological analytical services focused on the identification and quantification of drugs, metals, and other potential toxicants are provided using state-of-the-art methodologies. Antech offers a variety of panels (e.g., organophosphate panel, anticoagulant panel, etc.) along with tests for specific toxins (e.g., cocaine, benzodiazepines, lead, zinc).

Urinalysis

Antech offers urine chemistry assessment via semiautomated or fully automated reflectance spectrophotometric analysis and sediment review conducted by a highly trained technician. Stringent criteria exist for verification and flagged samples undergo cytological review at no additional cost by a boarded pathologist. Further testing — including microalbuminuria, urine protein creatinine ratio, urinary excretion of electrolytes, and certain enzymes — is available when indicated.
