    Test Description
    A boarded pathologist will evaluate the tissue submitted. The report will detail tissue source, microscopic observations, and pathologist’s notes. These notes may cover margin assessment, grading, special stain results and suggestions for additional tests if necessary. Include a Test Requisition Form (TRF) and comprehensive history with each biopsy submission.

    Firmly and evenly tighten the lid of the formalin jar and check for any leaks prior to placing the sample in a Ziplock/sealable bag with the TRF. A comprehensive history should be included with each biopsy submission.

    IMPORTANT: all specimens MUST be packaged in compliance with US Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations for transporting biological/hazardous materials. Non-compliant packages will not be picked up. DOT compliant packaging materials can be ordered through Healthtracks.com.     Test Description
    This panel is designed for extended Red Blood Cell (RBC) typing in canine blood donors. An antibody screen is available for an additional fee if serum is submitted along with EDTA whole blood. Compare with CT315 that includes DEA 1 only but has faster turn-around-time. This test is performed at an external lab.
