Services de consultation

Consulting with veterinary specialists on challenging imaging, medicine, and surgical cases can help direct diagnostics and treatment. Our board-certified specialists are standing by to consult with you on cases by assisting in the evaluation and interpretion of your patient images and certain test results.

With each consult, you’ll receive a comprehensive written report of findings along with suggestions for additional diagnostics, as warranted, and access to your specialist via phone or email. Our specialists consider themselves part of your team and are happy to speak with you about your patient. The contact information and availability for your consulting specialist is listed in the report.

Radiographie

Each consult includes a written report and direct access to the radiologist via phone or email.

Radiography consult process:
Submit a detailed history.
Include specific questions for the radiologist.

STAT consults are completed within 2 hours.
Standard radiography consults are usually completed within 24 hours, depending on caseload.

Ultrason

An ultrasound consultation consists of ultrasound images and associated radiographs. A separate radiology consultation is not required. Each consult includes a written report and direct access to our radiologist via phone or email.

Ultrasound consult process:
Submit quality labeled still images and short DICOM video clips for a faster and more precise report.
Use “Sonographer’s impressions/ comments” to describe your ultrasound findings. This will help us understand your concerns, and provide better patient care.

STAT consults are completed within 2 hours.
Standard ultrasound consults are usually completed within 24 hours, depending on caseload.

CT/IRM

Each consult includes a written report and direct access to our radiologist via phone or email.

CT/MRI consult process:
Submit a detailed history.
Include specific questions for the radiologist for a more precise report.

STAT consults are completed within 2 hours.
Standard CT/MRI consults are usually completed within 24 hours depending, on caseload.

Cardiology

Each consult includes a written report and direct access to the cardiologist via phone or email.

Cardiology consult process:
Submit quality labeled still images and short DICOM video clips for a faster and more precise report.

STAT consults are completed within 2 hours.
Standard cardiology consults are usually completed the same day, depending on caseload.

Cardiology consults are not available between 5 p.m. PT Friday and 8 a.m. PT Monday.

ECG

If you are using the Antech-ECG Bluetooth System, you can download the AIS-ECG app from the Apple App Store.

We offer three options for ECG–only consults:

  1. Pre-op ECG
    1. Lead II only
    2. Report within 30 minutes
    3. Useful as a screening tool before sedation or anesthesia, or as a quick evaluation
  2. Routine ECG
    1. All leads
    2. Written report within 24 hours
    3. Useful for noncritical cases and rechecks
  3. STAT ECG
    1. All leads
    2. Verbal report within 30 minutes, written report within 2 hours
    3. Useful for urgent and critical cases

ECG consult process:
The preferred method of subsmission is through the Antech-ECG Bluetooth System.
ECG-only consults are available 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. PT, Monday through Friday.
A variety of ECG formats are acceptable for consult submission. For questions about the compatibility of your equipment, contact Tech Support at 1-877-727-6800.

Oiseaux/Exotiques

Each consult includes a written report and direct access to your Antech exotic animal specialist via phone or email.

Avian/Exotics consult process:
Avian/Exotic consults are not available between 5 p.m. PT Friday and 8 a.m. PT Monday.
Submit a detailed history.
Include specific questions for the exotic specialist for a more precise report.
Exotic/Avian consults include detailed treatment and management recommendations for the case.

STAT consults are completed within 2 hours.
Standard consults are usually completed the same day, depending on caseload.

Dentisterie

Each consult includes a written report and direct access to your Antech dentist via phone or email.

Dentistry consult process:
Dental consults are not available between 5 p.m. PT Friday and 8 a.m. PT Monday.
Submit a detailed history.
Include specific questions for the dentist for a more precise report.

STAT consults are not currently available.
Standard consults are usually completed the same day, depending on caseload.

Each consult includes a written report and direct access to your Antech Internal Medicine specialist via phone or email.

Internal Medicine consult process:
Internal Medicine consults are not available between 5 p.m. PT Friday and 8 a.m. PT Monday.
Submit a detailed history.
Include specific questions for the Internal Medicine specialist for a more precise report.
Internal Medicine consults include detailed treatment and management recommendations for the case.

STAT consults are completed within 2 hours.
