
Dr. Fundak is a native of Southern California. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of California at Los Angeles, then a Master of Science Degree from Iowa State University. He then attended veterinary school at the University of California at Davis. Following graduation, he spent two years in general practice at a 24- hour Emergency and Specialist Clinic in Granada Hills, California, before he was accepted into a radiology residency program at the University of Minnesota at St. Paul. After his residency, he spent a year as a “road warrior,” performing mobile ultrasound studies for private practices in the metropolitan regions of St. Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota, before returning to Southern California for another two years as a mobile sonographer. When an opportunity arose to teach at Purdue University, Dr. Fundak moved to West Lafayette, Indiana. While there, he honed his skills in the Diagnostic Imaging Department at Purdue. He also developed his passion for microbrews and became a certified “hop head.” His wife, Lisa, gave birth to their first child, Katelyn, in Indiana as well.
