When You Need Critical Insights and You Need Them Now
In veterinary medicine, you never know what kind of case might walk through your doors. In emergency cases, or when things don’t go as planned, having access to in-clinic diagnostics provides timely results and informs real-time care. In this case-based session, we will utilize the minimum database (including hematology, biochemical profiling, and complete urinalysis) to work through interesting and unexpected clinical conditions, sharing laboratory tips and tricks along the way to help you get the most from your in-house diagnostic testing.
Learning objectives:
By the end of the session, participants will:
- Understand the importance of the complete minimum database for proper interpretation of patient data
- Advance their ability to interpret nuances of CBC and paired blood film changes
- Gain insight into biochemical abnormalities and ancillary diagnostics used to support further interpretation
- Review key components of the complete urinalysis and learn tips to improve interpretation of abnormalities
