Biography

Dr. Beck obtained her Bachelor’s degree and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California at Davis. Her interest in radiology developed early in her career. During her junior year in veterinary school, she received the Thomas Millman Radiology Fellowship. She also spent time dedicated to Ultrasound and was involved in a project in the area of nuclear medicine.After graduation, Dr. Beck did a one-year rotating internship in Emergency Medicine, Radiology and Surgery at the California Animal Hospital in Los Angeles, California. Her four-year radiology residency was performed at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, which provided her the opportunity to study all imaging modalities including CT, MRI and nuclear medicine.Dr. Beck then taught at the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine as a Clinical Instructor for one year. After practicing in the Chicago area for three years, she moved to Tucson, Arizona, where she has spent the last seven years in both private practice and mobile radiology.Dr. Beck was raised in Alaska and enjoys the warmth of the Arizona desert, swimming, amateur photography and taking care of her “herd” of Chihuahuas.
