
Dr. Vanderpool earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue University in 2004. Following over a decade in small animal private practice, she returned to Purdue to complete a residency in anatomic pathology and a Master of Science in Veterinary Anatomic Pathology. She became board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) in 2018. Dr. Vanderpool is currently a member of the Anatomic Pathology team at Antech Diagnostics, based in the Indianapolis office. She also serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine. Her professional interests include hepatopathology, oncologic pathology, and gastrointestinal pathology, and she is an active contributor to Antech’s hepatopathology team. She values close collaboration with clinicians and is particularly passionate about client communication when working through complex diagnostic cases. Dr. Vanderpool is a proud member of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP), the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association (INVMA), and the Society of Comparative Hepatology. Outside of her professional commitments, she enjoys running, reading, and spending time with her husband, daughters, and their dogs, Luna and Boba.
