CBC, T4, Nsaid Chemistries with GGT AST (SGOT), ALT (SGPT), Alk Phos, BUN, and Creatinine GGT.
A useful panel to evaluate the response to methimazole after a full minimum database has been run to make the initial diagnosis of hyperthyroidism. Includes an abbreviated chemistry (crea, BUN, AST, ALT, ALP and GGT), a Complete Blood Count (CBC), a Total T4, and SDMA.
Interferences: T4 evaluation can be affected in a hemolyzed or moderately lipemic sample. Lipemia can falsely decrease T4 results. Lipemia can falsely elevate TSH results.
