Specimen: 1.0 mL serum in red top, white top, or serum separator tube
Test Description: The antibody test detects infection in feline serum or plasma based on the detection of circulating IgG antibodies to a heartworm antigen. Detects antigen produced by the adult female heartworm or from the dying male (>5) or female heartworms.

Note: Per the American Heartworm Society (AHS) Guidelines, this bundle combines Heatworm Antibody (S14544) and Heartworm Antigen (S14545) testing. Serum/plasma heat-treated before the antigen test.
