Results:: 2 days. If further culturing is required, testing may be extended 7‑10 days.
Specimen: DTM fungal culture bottle, or fungal culture plate.
Test Description: Used after fungal growth has occurred in order to identify the fungi as dermatophytes versus saprophytic fungi.

Note: If there is no growth on the sample, this is converted to M080.
