FIRSTract is a rapid broth culture system that uses light scattering technology to reliably detect bacterial growth more rapidly than traditional plate culture techniques. When bacterial growth is detected by FIRSTract, plate culture for bacterial identification and antimicrobial susceptibility is automatically performed.
