This test is for fungal culture with identification; sensitivities are not included. Not for suspected Ringworm infections.
If Ringworm is suspected, use codes CT982 or CT986 (Canine/Feline), CT983 or CT987 (Equine), and CT984 or CT988 (Rabbit/Small rodent).
Label sample and submission form with source. Indicate on submission form if dimorphic fungal infection is suspected (E.g., coccidioidomycosis, blastomycosis, or histoplasmosis).
