1.0 mL airway wash fluid in red top or lavender top tube, or
2 air-dried and unstained slides prepared from fluid. Submit with source and clinical history.

Includes preparation of submitted sample (Transtracheal Wash (TTW) or Bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL)) and microscopic interpretation by clinical pathologist.
