Specimen
1.0 mL frozen EDTA plasma in plain transport tube. Collected as whole blood in lavender top tube and spun; separated plasma transferred into plain transport tube and frozen. Include patient history.
Test Description
IMPORTANT: due to a supply chain issue, the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory at Michigan State University cannot measure parathyroid hormone-related protein (PTHrP). This test is unavailable while MSU works to validate a new assay.
Results from this sendout test will include interpretive comments provided by MSU’s Veterinary Diagnostic Lab Endocrinology Service. Their $20 interpretation fee will be added.
