Amy Polkes, DVM, DACVIM
National Equine Professional Services
Veterinarian
Dr. Amy Polkes received her veterinary degree from Purdue University and then completed a residency and board certification in Large Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Florida. Dr. Polkes currently resides in Maryland with her husband (a small animal internal medicine specialist), 2 children and 3 dogs. She has a mobile Equine Internal Medicine practice servicing many surrounding states in the Northeast. Dr. Polkes has been with Antech since 2002 starting as an Equine consultant. Her current role with Antech Diagnostics is to support Equine veterinarians with pertinent diagnostic testing capabilities, Equine education and consultation support.
Randi Pomrehn
Equine Business Development Manager
Randi grew up in Southern California and has been involved with horses since age 3. Her family supported her riding dreams and she got her own horse at age 10. She rode on California State University, Fresno’s NCAA Division I Equestrian team from 2014-2015. After graduating with an Animal Science degree in 2015 she returned home to train hunter/jumper horses in LA County. During her time training she was also involved with the rehab care of many Thoroughbred racehorses and always enjoyed working alongside her veterinarians. Randi owns two horses and has one young sale horse in training. Her extensive equine background helps her to relate to her Antech clients and understand the needs of their practices. She has many established relationships with Southern California veterinarians and looks forward to developing more relationships on the West Coast.
Beth Schmitt
Equine Business Development Manager

Beth is a graduate of Purdue University School of Veterinary Technology. She worked as a Registered Veterinary Technician, horse owner, and hospital administrator in equine, mixed animal, and companion animal practices. Beth joined Antech in 2003 as territory manager for Indiana and Kentucky and moved to the role of Equine Business Development Manager in January 2018.
John Jacobs

John holds a Dutch Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering and a NIMA marketing degree. He started his career in the medical ultrasound market place with Pie Medical/Esaotein the Netherlands as a sales manager for part of Europe. After experiencing all facets of the international ultrasound business, he became International sales manager for Central and South America stationed in Curaçao for 5 years. John moved to the US with his family in 2004 and was part of the Eklin digital X-Ray start up that later merged with Sound where he learned more about imaging in the USA veterinary market.
Carrie Morrison
Equine Diagnostic and Imaging Business Development Specialist
(Canada)
Carrie started riding at two years of age and traveled extensively for equine sporting events with the Canadian Equestrian Team in 1997. She transitioned into small animal veterinary medicine in 2001 after several injuries. She lives in Guelph, Ontario and is the Equine Diagnostic and Imaging Business Specialist for all of Canada. She is married to a police officer and together, they have five children and five grandchildren. On the weekends, she loves to kayak with her grandkids, manage teenage drama, hunt and rider her ATV in deep Northern Ontario.
