Dr. Negrão Watanabe earned her DVM degree from the São Paulo State University, Brazil, later completing a master’s degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. In 2014, she obtained a Ph.D. degree at the University of Milan, Italy. She finished her anatomic pathology residency at LSU in 2019. In 2023, she joined Antech Diagnostics.
Dr. Negrão Watanabe has been involved in diagnostic services, training residents, and collaborative research projects involving natural infectious disease outbreaks, nutritional diseases, and equine and swine pathology. She has authored and co-authored several manuscripts on diagnostic pathology.
Dr. Negrão Watanabe is a Brazil native and is fluent in Portuguese, English, Italian, and Spanish.
