Sarah Beatty is a native Floridian and completed her veterinary degree at the University of Florida. Her desire to continue practicing multispecies medicine and solving diagnostic challenges led her to the field of clinical pathology. She completed a residency and became a board-certified Diplomate in 2014. Sarah joined the Antech team in early 2021 as a digital pathologist, with special interests and expertise in avian, exotics, and large animal/equine clinical pathology. She enjoys being a part of the diagnostic team by consulting with veterinarians on routine and challenging cases for all species. She currently serves as the Director for Clinical Pathology and enjoys working with the best team of veterinary clinical pathologists, laboratory personnel and support staff, and clients! Prior to joining Antech, Sarah spent 7 years as a faculty member at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine where she was active in diagnostic case work with a high oncology and exotics caseload, scholarly work, and teaching and instruction including the receipt of numerous teaching awards. She is an active member of ACVP, ASVCP (past Treasurer), VLA (current board member), and her local VMA. She resides in Florida with her spouse and children and enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, kayaking, and gardening. Her family is completed by their miniature schnauzer and Congo African Grey Parrot.
