Reema Patel

Reema attended the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2000, and worked in general small animal practice for 1 year in Florida while also serving as the relief veterinarian for the Miami Seaquarium. She completed her clinical pathology residency training at the University of Pennsylvania, and was the recipient of the C.L. Davis Veterinary Pathology Scholarship Award in 2003. She remained at Penn as a faculty member and clinical pathology residency director and joined the Antech team full-time in 2012.
Reema is a member of both the ASVCP and ACVP. She has published several book chapters, as well as case reviews on a variety of neoplasms in the dog and cat, and a novel immunohistochemical staining technique for fluid specimens. She has guest lectured at St. Matthews University in Grand Cayman, and worked as a locum clinical pathologist at Gribbles Veterinary Pathology and Diagnostic Lab in New Zealand.
Reema currently works from the ANTECH Laboratory in Chantilly, VA whilst happily spoiling her two rescue muppet dogs, “Kiwi” and “Kai”.
