Maggie grew up in Northern Virginia and completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 2012. Upon graduation she completed a yearlong rotating small animal internship focusing on emergency and critical care. She worked for two years as an associate veterinarian in both general practice and emergency hospitals. Her love for diagnostics and “putting the puzzle together” led her to a residency in clinical pathology which she completed at Oklahoma State University in 2018, the same year she became board certified. Due to her love of teaching, Maggie stayed on at Oklahoma State University for a year to complete a clinical instructorship. During this time, she published several journal articles and two book chapters on various aspects of hematology and cytology. She joined Antech in 2019 and is based in Dallas, Texas. Maggie loves all aspects of cytology and hematology but has particular interest in infectious disease. Maggie lives with her husband, dog, and two cats. She enjoys horseback riding, travel, and trying new restaurants in her free time.
