Karen Zaks

Karen Zaks is originally from Tenafly, N.J. She graduated from Smith College with a BA in mathematics. She earned her veterinary degree from Tufts University and performed an internship at Garden State Veterinary Specialists. Following her internship, she completed her clinical pathology training and MS studies at Colorado State University. She earned board certification in 2004. Karen is distinguished as the recipient of the ASVCP Young Investigator Award in 2004 for her characterization of Heinz body anemia associated with skunk spray. She has published on the topic of vaccine immunology as well as other small animal diagnostic challenges. Karen joined Antech in 2005. She is currently located in Fort Collins, CO where she lives with her husband, kids, and motley crew of pets. She enjoys reading, running, traveling, doing the mom thing, and volunteering in her community.
