Karen graduated with her DVM from Louisiana State University in 1996. After graduation, she completed a rotating small animal internship at Oklahoma State University followed by several years in private practice. She returned to OSU for her residency in Clinical Pathology. After residency, Karen joined Antech in 2004, moving into the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She became board certified in 2013 and is a member of ACVP and ASVCP. Her main interests are in the field of diagnostic cytopathology and hematology. Karen and her son reside in the DFW metroplex with their two cats and chocolate Labrador. Outside of work, she loves cycling and tries to cycle in Europe as often as possible. Karen also enjoys reading, gardening, and watching her son play hockey.
