Dr. Tobias graduated from University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine in 1991, followed by a rotating internship there. She completed a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine in 1995 at The Animal Medical Center in New York City. She then spent 18 years at Idexx laboratories, first as an internal medicine consultant, and then as a clinical pathologist, interspersed with a year teaching at an Australian veterinary school. While laboratory based, she was able to pursue her strong interest in clinical pathology via a non-traditional residency, and earned ACVP board certification in 2011. She lives in Olive Branch, Mississippi, with her husband, goats, dogs and bird. Hobbies include travel, artistic roller skating and roller derby.
