
Dr. Culwell received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in 2003. She completed a 1-year Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Internship at Oklahoma State University in 2004. In December 2007, she completed a 3-year residency and earned a Master of Science degree in cardiology at The Ohio State University. She served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences from 2008 to 2011. Following her move to Texas in 2011, she was employed as a full-time clinical cardiologist at a private practice until 2021. In 2021, she left clinical practice to pursue a consulting career. She originally hails from New York and currently lives in Texas with her husband.
