Biography

Dr. Love is Board Certified in Veterinary Radiology by the American College of Veterinary Radiology. She attended the University of Illinois and received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. She then graduated Magna Cum Laude from Tuskegee University with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Dr. Love completed a small animal internship at Michigan State University, and was invited to remain for a radiology residency. She was working as a tenured Associate Professor at North Carolina State University when she left to join Antech. While in academia she authored multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters on veterinary imaging. She has a strong interest in teaching and received the Norden Distinguished Teaching award and was instrumental in developing digital radiology teaching methods prior to leaving NC State University. When not interpreting images, Dr. Love spends time on the development of educational materials for AIS. Dr. Love was one of the founding members of DarkHorse Medical Imaging prior to purchase by VCA/Antech and subsequent evolution to Antech Imaging Services. She is married to Dr. Robert C. Sills, DVM, PhD Chief of Pathology at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. Dr. Love works as a radiologist to support her passion of competing her PRE horse in local and regional Dressage competitions.
