Biography

Dr. Hornof received his Bachelor of Science, Master of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from the University of California, Davis. He was named a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology in 1979 and joined the faculty of the University of California Davis that same year. He had a distinguished academic career with over a hundred publications in imaging and informatics. In 2004 Prof. Hornof retired as head of Radiology and Hospital Computing at UC Davis. Throughout his career he has been actively involved in teaching and curricular innovation. He has previously served as President of the ACVR, and is currently serving as Co-Chair of DICOM Workgroup 25.
