Michelle is a native of Illinois where she earned her DVM from University of Illinois. After graduating from veterinary college, she moved to the Seattle, WA area where she worked in small animal private practice for 7 years before moving to Raleigh, NC to complete her clinical pathology residency at North Carolina State University. In 2010 she started a 2 ½ year research fellowship in toxicological clinical pathology at the Division of National Toxicology Program (DNTP), National Institutes of Health in Research Triangle Park, NC, after which she continued on as the Principal Clinical Pathologist of the DNTP for 9 years. Michelle has contributed to dozens of diagnostic and toxicologic clinical pathology publications and book chapters, and has served on several professional committees. Michelle joined the Antech team in 2022 and works from an Antech regional laboratory in Cary, NC where she enjoys living a few hours away from both the ocean and mountains.
