Biography

Dr. Alessandra Destri, DVM, MRCVS, Dip. ECVDI, graduated from the University of Pisa, Italy, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2010 with first class honours. After performing a rotating Internship at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain) and a dedicated imaging internship in the UK, she started her residency program at the Animal Health Trust, UK, in 2016 and she became a ECVDI Specialist in 2022. After completing her residency, she worked in a busy referral practice in the UK, for three years, before starting working for Antech Imaging services in September 2023. She is author of several publications in peer reviewed Journals and a book chapter. In her free time, she likes hiking, going to the gym and walking with her two dogs, Boudika, an Apuan Alp’s Sheperd, and Phoebe, a Border Terrier.
