A wide range of reagents are available to help identify basic cell types of neoplasms, or to help visualize and identify microorganisms. Specific cell type identification of undifferentiated neoplasms may aid in the strategic planning of chemotherapy. These tests are usually recommended by a pathologist reading the case, but may also be requested at initial biopsy submission. If a pathologist feels special stains would be helpful in diagnosis, a comment will be included in the report and you may call Customer Service to add-on the stains.
  BIOPSU Cancellation Fee
If you wish to cancel a biospy that has been received by our Pathology Department and has been processed you may do so, but a fee will be applied to cover processing/handling charges.
  Recut/Duplicates
A copy of the biopsy slides may be sent back to the submitting clinic at an additional charge. The slides will take approximately 1 week to be delivered to the appropriate destination. Please contact Customer Service for instructions.
