  Comments Includes pathology report by a pathologist specializing in skin disease followed by review and clinical recommendations by a board certified veterinary dermotoligist. Test Request Form with comprehensive history must be submitted(Call Customer Service for a copy of the special Test Request Form and make sure your account number is clearly noetd).

  Comments Comprehensive history must be included. Tissues requiring decalcification or additional fixation may take longer. Check ee schedule or charges relating to additional sites.

the length of time required for decalcification is dependent on the size of the specimen. An additional 3 to 5 working days may be required.
  CBE Comprehensive Surgical Border Evaluation

  Comments This study is beyond the scope of our routine evaluation of specimen borders. When COMPREHENSIVE SURGICAL BORDER EVALUATION (CBE) is requested, we prepare several additional sections along all margins of the specimen and examine them to evaluate the completeness of excision of the lesion.

  Comments These include amputated digits or limbs.
  ORGAN Whole organs, Specimens > 6 cm
  Specimen Tissue in 10% formalin

  Comments These include specimens greater then 6 cm including whole organs (liver, spleen, heart, brain, etc.).
